plus a volume control, remote, extra digital outputs and a 24/192 asynchronous USB controller.

The new Wyred 4 Sound DAC range builds on the outstanding performance of the modified PS Audio DL III and deploys the stunning new ESS Sabre 32-bit DAC that set alight the DIY community on its release two years ago. The entry level DAC1 offers performance previous unheard of at this price. It features ESS Time Domain Jitter Eliminator, defeatable on-chip 500kHz oversampling and upgradable analog and digital stages. The fully balanced design has 2x coaxial, 2x optical and 1x 16-bit USB inputs, plus single ended and XLR outputs.

Permitting the possibility of directly driving power amplifiers, the full loaded DAC2 features defeatable digital attenuation, as well as a remote control and further input options: including AES/EBU and balanced I2S via HDMI, as well as HT bypass. Most crucially, perhaps, the DAC2 also features a new 24 bit 192kHz asynchronous USB input for uncompromised transfer fidelity and timing accuracy.
